Keshet

The Cinematic Architect of Orchestral Rock

Keshet is an Australian composer, producer, sound engineer, and filmmaker whose work sits at the intersection of alternative rock, orchestral music, and visual storytelling. A multi-instrumentalist with a background spanning performance, direction, and education, he has spent years building a practice that refuses easy categorisation, working as a session guitarist, music director, and artistic trainer across stages and studios in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Equally at home behind a mixing desk, a camera, or a conductor’s score, he approaches each project as a complete creative object where sound, image, and emotion are conceived as a single unified whole. Driven by a belief that music can carry the weight of history, memory, and human experience without compromise, Keshet continues to push the boundaries of what an orchestral rock project can be.

His Latest News

An immediate orchestral wave, a voice rising above emotional chaos: « The Hollow Cause » asserts itself from the very first note as a major artistic statement. For this worldwide single released on 5 June 2026, Keshet brought together one of musical theatre’s most acclaimed voices, Jemma Rix, known for her title roles in Wicked, Frozen, and The Lord of the Rings, whose vocals were recorded at Empire / Studio 52 in Melbourne by engineer Trevor Carter. Mastering was entrusted to John Mayfield in Nashville, whose credits include Dave Matthews Band and Taylor Swift.

Alongside them, the Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir, regulars at London’s Royal Albert Hall, and the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, recently credited on Wednesday Season 2 for Netflix, Scream 7, Scary Movie 6, and the upcoming Luc Besson film Dracula: A Love Tale, amplify the track’s cinematic scope. The result, both intimate and monumental, weaves together symphonic power, rock energy, and choral force into a single sovereign piece. Working on The Hollow Cause was a rare opportunity to be part of something truly cinematic », confides Jemma Rix. Early listeners have already praised the track’s scale, some describing it as « very epic and anthemic », others seeing it as music that « would fit perfectly in a Disney film ». Keshet also directed the performance film accompanying the single, extending his vision beyond sound alone.

Keshet, from Theatre to Screen: A Journey Without Borders

Behind this project lies a career of rare creative consistency. Keshet is notably the creator of The Diments, a rock opera entirely conceived, written, and staged by himself, whose debut run sold out. He is also the author of The Hollow Cause, a historically inspired multimedia work praised by cultural institutions for its memorial scope and strong visual identity. His approach extends to directing music videos using stop-motion animation and 360-degree captures, reflecting complete mastery of the image in service of sound. A trajectory worth following closely.
