In this exclusive conversation, Dark Joseph Ravine opens up about his journey, inspirations, and creative ambitions behind “You Are a Hero”. From early doubts to global visibility, he reflects on a path shaped by resilience, creativity, and a strong connection to digital culture. This interview explores the mindset of an artist who blends music, entrepreneurship, and storytelling into a single evolving identity.
How did you start music? What was the trigger?
DJR: I was always told I’ve been a good singer but never took it seriously until now. I always had a huge love for entertainment so I wanted to go after a career in that field.
What inspired you to write “You are a Hero”? What was the starting point?
DJR: As mentioned previously, all my life I was bullied and belittled so I wanted to write a song to encourage others to stay strong and positive.
You are an artist, actor, publicist, influencer, and owner of the marketing agency Focus Five Group, and even a children’s book author. Which hat do you prefer most?
DJR: I would say owner of my marketing agency Focus Five Group because I know secrets to going viral on social media and websites that a lot of people don’t know. I also made my own song viral with my marketing services I offer to clients so I can manage myself in terms of publicity. However, I’m not trained in earning opportunities so that’s something I need a lot of help with.
We heard that you have a world record to your credit… Can you tell us more about it?
DJR: Yes I had a huge love for playing arcade games and winning tickets for prizes back in the day before I started all this so I decided to do a Guinness world record for the longest line of arcade tickets sponsored by Dave and Buster’s. I failed the first attempt but succeeded the second time.
Your greatest quality as an artist? And your biggest flaw?
DJR: Biggest quality is going viral with social media whenever I want to. Biggest flaw is finding out how to earn organic opportunities and making people genuinely interested in me.
An object you can’t live without in your daily life?
DJR: my mobile phone because I manage myself with everything I do.
The last 3 tracks you listened to today, without cheating?
DJR: Did not listen to anything today.
A recent news event that marked you more than others?
DJR: My song “You are a Hero” hit number 1 on Spinnin Records.
Your favorite social network? Why?
DJR: TikTok because I get the most brand deals there. I’ve gotten so many brand deals on TikTok, I’ve even had to turn offers away.
What are your goals for 2026 as an artist?
DJR: To make a positive change in the world and motivate others with my music. The niche of all my songs I’m planning is positive motivation.
A final word for the end?
DJR: Stay strong and never let anyone bring you down.
