Krzysztof Fedorec, founder of Inferisborn, opens up about his origins, his creative process, and the vision behind « The Price We Paid ». Born in Poland, he built his project from a single conviction: that music is the only language capable of expressing what words alone cannot reach. Rooted in the raw energy of the 80s, blending cinematic rock, Hard Rock, and Alternative influences, Inferisborn is a project shaped by real emotions, lived experiences, and an uncompromising artistic honesty.
How did you start making music? What was the turning point?
Inferisborn: I started making music as a teenager, it was the most natural way for me to express emotions I couldn’t articulate in words. The turning point came when I realized that music wasn’t just a hobby, but the only language in which I could truly speak about myself and the world around me. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to build my entire life around creating music.
What inspired you to write « Words We Never Said: The Distance We Built »? What was the starting point?
Inferisborn: The inspiration for this song came from what I see happening around us, between people, in relationships, in families, in society. I approach these themes very emotionally, and I often notice how people drift apart not because of dramatic events, but because of everyday details, lack of communication, and lack of understanding. I always feel things deeply first, and only then do I put my thoughts on paper. « Words We Never Said: The Distance We Built » was born from that need, to express something invisible yet very real: the distance we create ourselves.
What is your greatest strength as an artist? And your biggest weakness?
Inferisborn: My greatest strength as an artist is that I create in a very emotional and honest way. I never pretend to be someone I’m not, everything I write comes from real experiences, observations, and what’s happening around us. People often tell me they can hear the truth in my music, and that’s the most important thing to me. My biggest weakness? Perfectionism. I can spend endless hours fixing one small detail because I always feel it « could be better. » Sometimes it helps, but sometimes it slows everything down.
One thing you can’t live without on a daily basis?
Inferisborn: Music and coffee. Music is like oxygen to me, it’s with me from morning till night, and coffee is my daily ritual that puts me in the right creative mindset. That combination keeps me going and helps me function.
Tell us about your very latest project, « The Price We Paid »… Why did you give it this title?
Inferisborn: The project has this title because it’s real and reflects what my songs are about. « The Price We Paid » captures the emotions and themes of the whole project, the price we pay for different moments in life.
Which track is your absolute favorite on this latest project? Your least favorite? And why?
Inferisborn: My absolute favorite is the newest track, « The Distance We Built », its sound and emotion feel truly unique to me. As for a « least favorite » song, I don’t have one. Every track means something to me, and I love all of them in their own way.
Your favorite social media platform? Why?
Inferisborn: I don’t have a favorite social media platform. To be honest, I’m not active on any of them, I prefer to focus on the music rather than on social media presence.
Who is Anna Lugowska, and what role does she play in this project?
Inferisborn: Anna Lugowska is my long-time collaborator and creative partner. She is the co-founder of AK Digital Music and supports me in all my music projects. She handles the entire visual and organizational side of Inferisborn, which allows me to focus fully on the music.
Your goals for 2026?
Inferisborn: My goals for 2026 are simple: to create even better music, to keep developing Inferisborn, and to strengthen its own recognizable world. I also want to find a truly unique sound for Inferisborn, something that makes people instantly know it’s us the moment they hear a track. That’s my main focus for this year.

Inferisborn: I just want to thank everyone who gives my music a moment of their time. Inferisborn is a project created straight from the heart, and if someone finds even a small piece of themselves in these songs, that’s the greatest reward for me.
