Keshet is an Australian composer, producer, sound engineer, and filmmaker whose work sits at the intersection of alternative rock, orchestral music, and visual storytelling. A multi instrumentalist with a background spanning performance, direction, and education, he has spent years building a practice that refuses easy categorisation, working as a session guitarist, music director, and artistic trainer across stages and studios in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Equally at home behind a mixing desk, a camera, or a conductor’s score, he approaches each project as a complete creative object where sound, image, and emotion are conceived as a single unified whole. Driven by a belief that music can carry the weight of history, memory, and human experience without compromise, Keshet continues to push the boundaries of what an orchestral rock project can be.

A surge of strings, then a full orchestral storm: « Overture », the instrumental opening piece of Keshet‘s The Hollow Cause project, sets the tone from the very first second. Sitting between progressive symphonic rock and symphonic metal fusion, the track pairs a classical symphonic orchestra (strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion) with a modern rock rhythm section (electric guitar, electric bass, drums), before folding in Middle Eastern percussion, darbouka and davul, that give the piece its distinctly oriental colour.
Entirely instrumental, « Overture » works as a cinematic, intense, and grandiose introduction, a musical fresco weaving together Eastern influences and Western orchestration into a single dramatic arc.
The video takes the form of an in-studio recording session, cutting between wide and close shots of a full symphonic orchestra (violins, cellos, flutes, clarinets, trombones, tubas, timpani) and the rock musicians driving the track forward: a long-haired guitarist, a bassist, a drummer, and a percussionist working the darbouka and a large frame drum. The lighting follows the music, the orchestra bathed in warm, natural studio light, while the rock and percussion section is lit in dim purple and red tones, two distinct visual worlds before they merge.

Behind this project lies a career of rare creative consistency. Keshet is notably the creator of The Diments, a rock opera entirely conceived, written, and staged by himself, whose debut run sold out. He is also the author of The Hollow Cause, a historically inspired multimedia work praised by cultural institutions for its memorial scope and strong visual identity. His approach extends to directing music videos using stop-motion animation and 360-degree captures, reflecting complete mastery of the image in service of sound. A trajectory worth following closely.
