He’s bold, he’s passionate, and he’s not afraid to take risks—Mystic Xperienz is an artist on a mission. Originally from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, this hip-hop MC blends deep lyrical storytelling with a socially conscious message. After a series of personal challenges, he found his way back to music, releasing his latest EP Guide’Z on February 19th. We had the chance to chat with him about his journey, creative process, and what’s next.

Hello, Mystic Xperienz! Thank you for taking the time to speak with us. Let’s start at the beginning—how did you get into music? Was there a defining moment?

MX: In my early teen years, a friend gave me an NWA tape. When I first heard 100 Miles and Runnin’, I was blown away by how raw and straightforward the lyrics were. I had never heard anything like it. Right then and there, I knew that hip-hop had to be a part of my life.

Your latest project, Guide’Z, just dropped. What inspired you to write this EP?

MX: Life. The things I’ve experienced over the last six years—my personal journey, my struggles, and my victories. It all comes from my own life.

Can you walk us through your creative process? Do you start with lyrics or the beat?

MX: It depends. I always have bars in my head, and when I feel like they fit the moment, I write them down. But sometimes, The Grinder, my producer, will hit me up with a dope beat, and I’ll build off of that.

As an independent artist, what has been the biggest challenge in growing your career?

MX: Connecting with the right people who understand my vision. It’s not like it was ten years ago—it seemed easier back then. But things are slowly coming together now, and I’m happy with the progress.

How do you divide your budget between music production, video creation, and promotion?

MX: Music creation comes naturally, so that doesn’t take as much planning. I’d say I put about 80% into video production and invest as much as I can into promotion. It’s all about getting the music out there.

No cheating—what are the last three songs you listened to today?

MX: Hometown Hero by Benny the Butcher, Even Righteous by Mystic Xperienz, and Hustle’s Checklist by Freeway, Kar-Lethal Brigante, and Fall Son.

What advice would you give to aspiring artists who want to live off their music?

MX: Work HARD. Give it your all. Believe in yourself and take risks—this doesn’t happen overnight. If you really want it, you have to be willing to go all in.

What are your goals for 2025?

MX: To bless stages with fire performances! That’s my main goal.

Any final words for your fans?

MX: Have you listened to my EP Guide’Z yet? If not, go check it out. And remember—never be afraid to take things to the next level.
